The Bench Mark Garden

The garden is best described as contained disorder – no straight, tidy borders with neat lawns here! The net effect is a haven for wildlife – we have the usual garden birds, along with visits from long-tailed tits, goldcrests, warblers and the like. On the ground there are frogs, toads, slow-worms, voles and occasionally a hedgehog bumbling around. Insects there are a-plenty: bees on the many flowering plants, some amazing beetles, the odd passing dragonfly, even elephant hawk moth larvae. There is also Adam’s unique ‘Garden Library’ book art installation, which quietly matures with each passing season…
